a music recording and mixing studio by philip weinrobe

Sugar Mountain

  • Sugar Mountain is a recording and mixing studio founded and operated by producer, recording and mixing engineer, Philip Weinrobe.

Located in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn NY

  • Sugar Mountain is the primary mixing location for all of Philip Weinrobe’s mixing

    Most mixing is done un-attended.
This gives Philip and the artist plenty of time to be freely creative and listen in their most comfortable environments

When sessions call for synchronous work, we have a Zoom+Audiomovers solution that makes it feel like you are right in the studio with Philip

On special and specific occasions, attended mix sessions can be arranged by request

The studio is setup with a hybrid analog/digital workflow with a heavy dose of tape machines (cassette, 1/4”, 1/2”)

  • Recording at Sugar Mountain is done in the round: all of us in the room together.

Cozy (read: let’s get close) and comfortable.

There is an iso room if we need to put the singer/tuba player/tambourinist away from the other microphones.
