Sugar Mountain

  • Sugar Mountain is a recording and mixing studio founded and operated by producer, recording and mixing engineer, Philip Weinrobe.

Located in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn NY

  • Mixing at Sugar Mountain can be either attended (we drink coffee, bop around the room) or un-attended (you stay in your room anywhere on earth, i stay here at sugar mountain, we bop around our respective rooms via zoom/audiomovers).

The studio is setup with a hybrid analog/digital workflow with a heavy dose of tape machines (cassette, 1/4”, 1/2”)

  • Recording at Sugar Mountain is done in the round: all of us in the room together.

Cozy (read: let’s get close) and comfortable.

There is an iso room if we need to put the singer/tuba player/tambourinist away from the other microphones.
